At YouFirst Neuro, we believe that treating the brain requires more than just a prescription. It requires a partnership.
Dr. Jeff Frank is a renowned neurologist and thought leader with over 33 years of experience. Before transitioning to private practice in 2017, he served as a Professor of Neurology and pioneered the subspecialties of Neurocritical Care and Vascular Neurology (Stroke). Having built two of the most reputable neuro-intensive care programs in the U.S. and mentored hundreds of physicians worldwide, Dr. Frank is recognized for his “field-changing” contributions to academic medicine.
Despite his global academic reputation, Dr. Frank is best known by his patients for his unique, practical, and compassionate bedside manner. He established You First Neuro to escape the “assembly-line” nature of modern medicine, allowing him the time to be a careful listener and a dedicated partner in his patients’ recovery.
Dr. Frank specializes in helping patients who have not found relief through traditional means. By providing innovative interventions, including Spravato® (Esketamine) and TMS, he bridges the gap between neurological expertise and mental health.
Whether providing a second opinion for complex neurological issues or collaborating with existing mental health providers to treat depression, Dr. Frank’s goal remains the same: providing a level of thoroughness, depth, and genuine care that is rare in medicine today.
Grace
Grace is the Clinical Assistant overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic in addition to being clinically involved with many of our patients. Grace has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from Loyola University Chicago and more than 15 years of diverse healthcare experience. Working closely with Dr. Frank, Grace is dedicated to assuring that everyone receives the highest level of care and that they are treated with respect and compassion.
Interventional Mental Health patients regularly interact with Grace. She is intimately involved with the treatment authorization process and scheduling, patient monitoring (for those receiving ketamine), and treatment delivery (for those receiving TMS). Our patients become very attached to Grace, as she brings her heart and soul to every patient interaction.

Hilary
Hilary is a wonderful complement to our team as a billing specialist. With her crisp intelligence, vast experience in the healthcare billing arena (with some of the large health systems in the region) and patient-centered perspective, Hilary is dedicated to assuring that the economic dimension of the care we deliver is as smooth as possible for our patients.
She is an integral member of our team and readily accessible to trouble shoot some of the complex issues that sometimes arise when interfacing with insurance companies and patient billing. We are proud of the unique level of competence, warmth, and personability that Hilary brings to this often-challenging aspect of patient care delivery.
Beyond her technical proficiency, Hilary understands that navigating the financial side of healthcare can be a source of stress for many families. She approaches every interaction with a calm, reassuring demeanor, taking the time to demystify complex insurance jargon and ensure patients feel heard and supported. Her proactive approach means she often identifies and resolves potential hurdles before they ever reach the patient, reflecting her deep commitment to the clinic’s mission of seamless, compassionate care.
Neurology is often practiced under time pressure, where complex problems are
reduced to brief visits and incomplete answers.
Dr. Frank’s approach is different. He takes the time to listen carefully, think deeply, and
understand the full context of each patient’s experience. Because in neurology, the
details matter—and so does the person behind them.
With more than three decades of clinical experience, including years in academic medicine and teaching, Dr. Frank brings a depth of perspective that helps bring clarity to even the most complex neurological problems. Patients often come to Dr. Frank when the path forward is uncertain—when diagnoses
are unclear, symptoms don’t fit neatly into categories, or prior evaluations have not
provided answers.
Neurological symptoms can be unsettling—not just physically, but emotionally. Dr. Frank’s goal is not only to diagnose and treat, but to help patients and families understand what is happening, what it means, and what can be done. Care is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in both science and humanity.
